1. All entries must be prepared on site.
2. All entries must pick up meat provided starting at 6:00 a.m. at the Lodge
3. All entries must be completed and turned in no later than 11:30 a.m.
4. All entries must be marked with entrants number.
5. Alcoholic beverages consumed on Lodge property must be purchased from
Lodge (required by law).
6. Gas and/or charcoal grill are acceptable. No braising allowed.
7. No vehicles in the grilling area.
8. All entries will be sold to the public and proceeds to Elks Southeast District.
9. Awards immediately following Dessert Auction at 3:00 pm.
10. Grills, charcoal, propane, marinating, seasoning, etc. is responsibility of entrants.
JUDGING PROCEDURES
1. Judging will be done by a team assigned by the SEDVP.
2. Entries will be judged by the following: appearance of meat, taste, tenderness.
No sides or garnishes will be consider in the judging.
3. Each judge will score on a scale (1) Bad to (10) Excellent.
4. Scores will be combined for total points.
5. Team with the highest total points will be awarded District Belt
CATEGORIES Ribs & Chicken supplied by the Elks SE District
PORK RIBS (3 Slabs) - Turn in 6 ribs for judging and 2 slabs to be sold
CHICKEN(3 Whole) - Turn in 1/2 chicken for judging and 2 whole chickens to be sold
CHILI COOK-OFF Pprepare your own at home and bring in crockpot (pre-registration is not requirded for Chili Cook-Off)
