PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR THE 2022 HAUNTED LODGE!

Members of the Community, Students, Teachers, Parents, and Community Organizations,

The Jupiter Elks seek participants for the 11th annual HOUSE OF THE HAUNTED LODGE! Do you know students or individuals or a group who need community service hours? Or an organization that could use the money for new uniforms, a field trip, school supplies, or something else that comes to mind? Well here's an opportunity as the Jupiter Elks Lodge is seeking to award community service hours plus $100 to 13 groups with a chance to win $500 more just by participating in the 11th annual HOUSE OF THE HAUNTED LODGE. That's right, each individual can receive 20+ hours just by participating in the festive community event that has become an annual Halloween tradition and favorite in northern Palm Beach County.

This year the Haunted Lodge will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 28th and 29th from 7-10 p.m at the Jupiter Elks Lodge on Indiantown Road.

The Haunted Lodge is a haunted house staged and decorated by 13 groups of students, sports teams, Scouts, non-profit organizations, and Halloween enthusiasts volunteering for fun, community service hours, and competing to raise monies for their school, team, troop, or organization.

Want to win more money than one hundred dollars? Each spectator that comes to the Haunted Lodge has the opportunity to vote for their favorite "Fright Space" and the Jupiter Elks will award the top three "Fright Spaces" $100, $250, and $500 to the grand prize winners.

It's a fun and easy way to knock out those community service hours and raise the necessary funding that so many groups, teams, and organizations need!

Don't have a group to participate in? No problem! Sign up as an individual and we will get you all set up!

To participate here’s what you need to do:
     • Come up with a "Fright Space" Theme (an idea that might be scary or funny, or     both, something with a Halloween spin) and give it a Title.

     • Concept:  While it is fun to brainstorm and get creative when planning, keep in      mind your resources and budget and that you must be able to implement it. Describe in detail the theme, action and scare delivery in the space from a spectator’s point of view.

     • Characters: Get a group together that's willing to act out the scene’s characters.
Describe and indicate how many characters might occupy the space.  Keep in mind the need to be flexible, depending upon the size of the “Fright Space” in which you are assigned.

     • Set:  Describe in detail how the “Fright Space” is to be furnished and decorated. Gather props to decorate and stage your haunt. Get creative here, search through your classroom, home closets, garage and attic. It’s OK not to spend money!

     • Floor Plan:  Measurements: The “Fright Spaces” are various sizes and shapes. All spaces will be approximately 5’ wide, in either a rectangle or L shape. Lengths will vary 14’ to 26’. Walls: The walls of separation will be a lightweight material that will be hung from the ceiling. No attachments of any kind other than what can be applied with clear packing tape can be applied to the walls. There will be a wall on three sides with an opening on the fourth for spectators to view the haunt. Ceilings: 9’ although no attachments are available from/to the ceiling. Floor: There will be no attachments other than tape. Download a "Fright Space" Floor Plan by clicking here then submit it with your application by clicking the upload file button below or email it it to:  ElksLodge2469@gmail.com

     • The group with the most votes wins cash prizes that will be donated back to the group’s accredited program of choice.  Tell your friends to come and vote for you!

     • Submit your application no later than Sunday, October 2, 2022 (deadline has been extended and there's still room to participate!

Direct any questions via email to ElksLodge2469@gmail.com.

We look forward to your participation in this fun and frightening community attraction

and fundraiser!  Good luck to one and all!
