I would like to thank all of you who have supported the reopening of the lodge. For those of you who have not renewed your membership please stop by and renew or go online and renew online. Your membership dues help our lodge remain financially secure. We look forward to welcoming you back.
I would especially like to thank the House Committee for their hard work during these difficult times to provide us with a safe environment upon reopening. Your House Committee members are: Lauren Dowd Shedlock, Alma Forman, Susan Aubrey, Maureen Paglia, Lisa Nuss, Vicky Doubleday & Tracy Vertullo.
As we enter September, I would have completed 5 months for this term of office. Due to the Covid Crisis we've had many disappointments in not being able to participate in many of the activities throughout the year. But with that said, we've had many triumphs as well. We have learned that because of the previous administrations before us and the oversight of the trustee's and board of directors in the past, they have put this lodge in a position to survive this crisis. Without their ability to put us in a position of financial strength, we would have been in a whole lot of trouble. We have survived and we will continue to move forward and we will continue to rely on their support.
As we continue to move forward, please take the time to read our "What's Happening" around the lodge articles sent out by the House committee. Be a participant. This is your lodge. Come in and enjoy the food www.thegrillatlilly.com and activities as restrictions are softened. We continue to have our fish fry's and our hours will be extended as we move forward. We are also moving forward with our charitable activities in supporting our Veterans and our Youth and Children Services. I would especially like to thank our member Susan Aubrey for her generous contribution to the Florida Elks Charities in the amount of a $5,000.00 check. Thank you Susan. Elks Care and Elks Share!
Finally, let's look forward to a bright future.
Let's move forward together!
