Juanita and Michael North have been dedicated members of our Jupiter Farms and Elks community for years. Juanita’s food truck is a staple at local events, and she’s always the first to roll up her sleeves when someone else is in need.
Recently, their world was shaken again when Juanita was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, while Michael continues his battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Michael is now disabled and unable to work, making Juanita the family’s sole provider— a role made even more difficult as she undergoes chemotherapy. Now it’s our turn to support them.

At Jupiter Elks Lodge #2469, we believe in the strength of community — standing by each other in times of need, just as we celebrate life’s good moments together. Today, we’re reaching out to ask for your help for a family, very dear to our Elks family, and the Jupiter Farms community.
Juanita North is a long-time Jupiter Farms resident, loving wife, proud mother, devoted friend, and active Elks member. If you’ve attended a local event, you’ve likely seen her smiling face behind the window of her popular food truck, always offering her time, talents, and heart to help others. She’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone else — and now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Michael North, her husband, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 25 years ago. Over time, the disease has progressed and Michael is now disabled and no longer able to work, making Juanita the sole provider for their family. She has balanced running her small business and food truck while raising their two teenage children, Dristin and Jade.
Recently, their world was shaken again when Juanita was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and began undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Now, with Juanita facing this serious illness, the family is in an overwhelming financial crisis with very limited income and mounting medical expenses.
To help ease the financial strain of medical bills, accessibility needs, and daily living expenses, the Jupiter Elks Lodge is hosting a benefit on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 1:00–5:00 PM, at the Jupiter Elks Lodge. The event will feature live entertainment, raffles, silent and live auctions, a bake sale, food, and fellowship — bringing together family, friends, and neighbors to support Juanita, Michael, Dristin, and Jade.
How You Can Help:
· Donate goods, services, or gift certificates to be included in our raffles, silent auction, or live auction — a meaningful way to show your business or personal support.
· Contribute baked goods for our benefit bake sale.
· Attend the event and invite your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to join us for this important cause.
Every dollar raised will go directly to the North family to help them through this difficult journey. As Elks, we’re guided by our motto, “Elks Care, Elks Share,” and we are proud to support this incredible family in their time of need. We hope you’ll join us in lifting up the North family — a family who has always given so much to others.
