Dear Community Business Leaders, Service Representatives, and Valued Patrons,
On behalf of the Southeast District of the Florida State Elks Association, we are proud to invite you to support our 5th Annual Army of Hope Poker Run, taking place on Saturday, February 28, 2026. This annual event brings together our community in support of a cause that directly impacts the families of those who serve our country.
All proceeds from the Poker Run will benefit Florida Elks Charities – Army of Hope, whose mission is to provide emergency financial assistance to the families of deployed military members. Eligible recipients include families of Florida-based active-duty military personnel, reservists, members of the National Guard, Coast Guard, and their dependents. An active-duty service member stationed in Florida with dependents qualifies as a Florida resident under this program.
We respectfully request your consideration of a donation of any kind, including monetary contributions, goods, services, gift certificates, raffle or auction items, or sponsorship support. Every contribution — large or small — plays a meaningful role in helping us raise funds and awareness for military families facing unexpected financial hardships. All donations will be gratefully acknowledged as being generously provided by you or your business.
If you are able to support the Army of Hope, please register and donate online at Donations may also be delivered to: Jupiter Elks Lodge #2469, 10070 West Indiantown Road, Jupiter, FL 33478.
We are deeply grateful for your generosity and community spirit. To learn more about the Army of Hope program, please visit www.floridaelks.org/army-of-hope, or feel free to visit any Florida Elks Lodge in the Southeast District — including Jupiter, West Palm Beach, or Clewiston — where one of our officers would be happy to share more about our mission and the Elks organization.
Thank you for standing with us as we continue our commitment to serving military families in need.
Fraternally,
Lauren Dowd-Shedlock

The families of Florida active-duty military personnel, military reservists, Coast Guard, National Guard and/or their dependents are eligible. Active-duty members stationed in Florida with their dependents qualify as Florida residents.
Since its inception, the Army of Hope has raised and distributed over $1,000,000 for families of deployed military members. The help you give through the Florida Elks’ Army of Hope allows the military members to safely concentrate on their duties without worrying about their families at home. The Army of Hope also assists returning veterans with costs to re-establish their civilian life after deployment.
